Supporting Those Who Served
The men and women who have served in our nation's armed forces deserve more than a thank-you. Through the Flags for Heroes program and our broader charitable work, the Guilford Rotary Charitable Foundation channels resources directly to veteran support initiatives in the Greensboro area.
Our work honors veterans of every era — from World War II to the most recent conflicts — as well as active-duty service members, National Guard members, and military families who carry the weight of service every day.
Flags for Heroes
Our signature annual fundraiser plants American flags at the Piedmont Triad Farmer's Market on Veterans Day Weekend in honor of veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders. Each flag is sponsored by a community member who wants to say thank you.
Veteran Recognition
We work with local organizations to identify and recognize veterans who have made extraordinary contributions to the Greensboro community — ensuring their service is never forgotten.
